Pagans and witches believe that magic was created by their deities, the Goddess and God, and that it permeates the whole universe. Just like gravity or electricity, magic is a neutral force of nature; it can be used either for good or evil depending on the spellcaster's intentions.

There are few limits to what magic can do, however its effects tend to be much subtler than the flashy kind of "magic" shown in movies and tv shows. One of the many uses of magic could be, in theory, to make the souls of two persons switch bodies. However, I have never researched how it could be done, and in my few years of practicing Wicca, I have not yet seen such a phenomenon.
