There is a daily Amtrak train that runs through Pennsylvania. It starts off from Penn Station, goes through New Jersey to Philadelphia, and then continues west deep into Pennsylvania, all the way to Pittsburgh. I have taken this train about a million times to visit my friend in central Pennsylvania.

It might not stop at the exact town you need to go to, but it will likely stop somewhere nearby, and then you can either have someone drive you the rest of the way, or you can hire a taxi.

See the Related Link below for the Amtrak homepage. Under, "From," type in "NYP" for New York Penn Station. For the, "To" field, you can select the "Find a Station" option. It will give you a list of towns in alphabetical order, and will give you the station abbreviation for that stop.

If you need help, you can call Amtrak Customer Service at: 1-800-872-7245.

There are several daily Amtrak trains that run from New York to Philadelphia and back. The ride is about 90 to 100 minutes.

See the Related Link below for the Amtrak homepage. There you can buy tickets and get schedules and fares. You can have the tickets delivered to you, OR you can just pick them up from the electronic ticket-retrieving kiosks at the station. That is what I usually do when I take Amtrak.

On the Amtrak homepage, under "From," type in "NYP" for New York Penn Station, and under "To," type in "PHL" for the Philadelphia 30th Street Station. Or, obviously, you can do the reverse, if you're going from Philly to NYC.

If you're having any problems, you can call Amtrak Customer Service at 1-800-872-7245.

Which train runs from New York City to Liberty New York - Catskills or Middletown New York - not New Jersey?

Hey, do you mean the Long Island Express Way or the Subway. There is a subway stop at nearly ever corner, but ask people. hop this helps! I have been to Liberty NY but I don't believe there is a train that goes directly to that town. I am sure though that Metro North goes to Middletown.
