The filter in a vacuum cleaner separates dust from air. Air is allowed to pass through whereas dust is trapped by the filter and caught in the bag/cylinder of the vacuum cleaner.
J.Murray Spangler was the inventor of vacuum cleaner with bag
The answer depends on where in the vacuum cleaner and on the state of the cleaner. In any empty part of the vacuum cleaner, the speed of light is approx 299,700,000 metres per second. In a full dust bag, though, the speed may well drop to zero.
BaglessWhen you turn on the vacuum cleaner, the suction from the motor (either top or bottom) sucks in dirt and dust, bringing it into the cyclonic dust bin, and preventing it from getting into the motor by using a dust filter. When full, you must dispose of the waste in the cyclonic dust bin, either dumping it into the disposal or using a flip bottom.BaggedWhen you turn on the vacuum cleaner, the suction from the motor (either pulling it in by a fan driving a belt or a fan behind or below the bag) sucks in dirt and dust, bringing it into the bag (usually filtered). When full, you must dispose of the bag and replace it with an empty one.
It depends on the model of the vacuum cleaner. If the model has an indicator that shows the filling level of the bag then one should replace it according to the indicator. If the model has no indicator there are other tests to check if the bag is already full. Usually the vacuum cleaner will get weaker and hoover accurately enough anymore. That will be the sign to change the bag. If the bag is transparent one will be able to check the filling level by taking a look at the inside of the cleaner.
The fan powered by a motor creates suction which pulls the dust into the cleaner nozzle (head) into the bag, filters or cyclones.
Since 2001 thermometers no longer contain mercury. It would be best to throw out the bag and keep the vacuum cleaner.
The fan powered by a motor creates suction which pulls the dust into nozzle (head) into the bag, filters or cyclones. The fan creates airstream with on its turn creates vacuum at the topside and front site of dust and soil particles so the will be lifted and transported by the airflow.
what do you get when you cross a motor bike driver with a vacuum cleaner? A 'DIRT BAG''.

Unfortunately, there is a smell because the vacuum motor actually absorbs the odors. This means that even when a new bag is used, and even when you use odor tablets, the smell is still there because it is actually coming from the vacuum and you smell it in the exhaust. There is really not much you can do about it. The same is true of fine dust particles. There is alot of hype about hepa filtration, and micro bags for vacuum cleaners, but the only dust free way to vacuum is with a central vacuum system.
