Is there a way to merge MPEG VOB AVI or other video files for free?

There is plenty of things online that convert Windows Media Player files so they will show up on your Itunes. To get a good one you might have to pitch in a little more money. Or you can get the really slow/not-that-good-version. If your cheap, that version won't give you sound when playing on your Ipod. I'm pretty sure that if you buy the good-one, it gives you sound. Another way involes using a apple/macintosh computer. First, you plug your Ipod in your normal P.C., then you go to my computer and look for your Ipod link in the DEVICES WITH REMOVABLE STORAGE area. Copy all the videos you want on your Ipod to a NEW FOLDER. Then once all the videos are in the NEW FOLDER, DOUBLE CLICK the NEW FOLDER to open it. Then click one of the videos(not double-click)and let go. Then press Ctrl then A, this highlights everything in the Folder. While everything is highlighted, click a logo of one of your vid's and drag it to your Ipod on the MY COMPUTER part. Wait till everything saves then unplug and plug it into a macintosh/apple with Itunes and open up MY COMPUTER and look for your Ipod again, if you go were you put all your video's in, you notice that they are all QUICKTIME. Drag all your videos to the Itunes on the Apple/macintosh and wait till you see that all the video's are succesfully saved onto the itunes, then look for the Ipod sign at the bottom. Click it and change your Ipod updating so it MANUALLY UPDATES. Then drag all your vid's in your itunes to your Ipod, whatever doesn't go, right click it and select CONVERT SELECTION FOR IPOD. Then you can drag whatever didn't go on at first. That way if you have it on MANUALLY UPDATE, you can plug your Ipod into someone else's Itunes without worrying that you'll loose all your songs/pics/videos.
