In the absence of the regular teacher a substitute can peruse the lesson plan and see where the class has progressed .
yes logbook daily lesson plan is not a log book it is called blueprint for the teacher. it is also used by season teacher.

It depends on where you live. In my state it's 1:18 for kindergarter, but your state may have different laws/guidelines.
