Is there any way to remove an egg stain on a butcherblock top?In: Cleaning |
Answer
Not 100 per cent sure on this , my experience of removing egg stains is on automotive paint !
I am guessing that the wood block is sealed with some kind of sealant/wax/varnish . Amino acids and proteins in the egg will actually eat in to the sealant/wax/warnish and destroy it .
As an FYI ..if anyone ever eggs your car , get the egg off asap. The protein and amino acids will eat all the way through the paint film on the vehicle, and will need to be resprayed.
