most likely, you really can't quit that franchise now it's making loads of money. too many people, including myself, would be too disappointed to not even have somewhat of a closure to what has happened in pa1 and 2. and you would have to be crazy to not want to continue this. i have some suggestions to what pa3 could be about (not genius but creative lol)

1 *most likely in my opinion* - they keep continuing the prequel idea, keep going back in time til we actually get to the dumb lady who made the deal with the demon. and also find out about what happened with Katie and kristi when they are younger and about their mom because that is still totally unclear.

2 - continues with ali coming home from the school trip, as it said at the end of pa2, to find them dead and hunter gone and then she goes and lives with a foster family or distant relative and she goes through family history and junk in an attempt to find hunter and Katie. she could also have some help from that one spanish maid girl.

3 *kinda far fetched but i'd LOVE to see Katie throughout the whole movie* - Katie comes out of being possessed and gets caught by police and FBI and the government is investigating because she claims she has no remembrance of what happened or killing anyone and they still have no idea where hunter is and they're trying to get her to talk. could use footage from pa1 & 2. idk how that would end anything just a thought though.

i mean who knows, they TOTALLY shocked me with the prequel idea in pa2, i bet these ideas aren't gonna be close because Hollywood will think of some other crazy idea. but either way, if there's a pa3, I'm seeing it :D
