Probably not. I have had two children and with both of them I had a lot of pain in the lower back. I would still tell your doctor about the pains that you are having. One thing that is common with pregnancy and often gets worse the further along you are is hemorroids. Hemorroids causes quite a bit of pain in the buttocks. Ask your doctor!!
AnswerProstaglandin, one of the pregnancy hormones relaxes the ligaments which hold the bones together which enables the pelvisnto move a little making for an easier labour. With some women the hormones seem excessive resulting in Back pain and sometimes sciatica.It is very common and does not mean anything is wrong.
A physical therapist may be able to show you some exercises to strengthen your muscles and/or provide a back support.
