Vistaril, (Hydroxyzine) is an antihistamine, used primarily for the treatment of itches and irritations, for the reduction of nausea, as a weak analgesic by itself and as an opioid potentiator (to allow smaller doses to be effective as painkillers). It is also used for the treatment of anxiety. It is not a benzodiazipine.
