It is a coed sport on the beach but a female sport on the court

That answer is very wrong...I am a male and played volleyball on the court all year round, won a state championship, took 5th place in the country, and played against Guillermo Diaz who was just drafted into the NBA out of the University of Miami. So its definately competitive for both males and females both on the court and on the beach.

Volleyball is a coed sport. I'm female and play mainly on court volleyball and half my team is male and the same for beach volleyball.

Volleyball is male and female it is just that females play more and men only see females because of what they wear and never see the men playing! Women just so happen to look very good well they play.
Every one male that plays, 3 women play is the statistic.
