Water is not a nutrient in itself. It contains nutrients in the form of minerals and as a fluid, it acts as an essential carrier/transporter of other nutrients around the body.

In soil water a varity of nutrients remain dissolved. Out of these there are micronutrients like Zn, Sulphor, Copper, Magnesium etc. and some are macronutrients nitrates, phosphates and potash.
