Is water an a homogeneous mixture or a heterogeneous mixture?

Answer

Water, H2O, is not a mixture, but a compound.

A mixture contains multiple substances that are together, but not combined (shampoo, soil, trail mix, etc.). Water is one substance, containing multiple elements (hydrogen and oxygen) that have been chemically combined, making it a compound.
