Is winning what really counts?

[Edit]

No, what really counts is accomplishment!

Answer

In professional sports, yes. The difference between winning and losing can be millions of dollars. In youth leagues, no. It is more important for youth to learn sportmanship, teamwork, fair play, and enjoyment of the game than it is to win.

Answer

It depends on the circumstances. If your fighting for your life or the life of another then winning can mean everything. If your attempting to climb that so called ladder of success, and you are stepping on others to do so, then by winning you may be losing in the long run. Its a matter of perception, your value and belief systems, and your ethics. Is winning what really counts? Only you can decide that. You must develop wisdom....and this kind of wisdom does not come from books.
