A wizard is a magical practitioner who specializes in the "scientific" magics (Alchemy, Thermography, etc). A witch is a magical practitioner who uses nature. Both words are non-gender specific. Both male and female practioners are called "Wizard" and "Witch."
I think a warlock is also the male equivalent of a witch.
A warlock is actually not the male equivalent of a witch- witch is non-gender specific, as stated above, and can be used for both males and females. Warlock is actually a term that means something along the lines of "betrayer" and is not commonly appreciated or accepted in the "magical community". It has been evolved and given a new meaning by Hollywood and the media, but it's rarely used that way in real life.
______ "
Warlock" is a term which derived from
Oath breaker. It is not used anywhere outside of Hollywood. A witch is a practitioner of Witchcraft of either gender.
A witch is, as previously corrected, a practitioner of Witchcraft, be it a male or a female. A warlock is NOT the male equivalent of a witch. "Warlock" means someone who has broken rules and has been banished from a community or such. A witch is a witch. It's really a unisex type of word.
Both Witch and Wizard can be male or female, the same goes for the Warlock.
