Woodfield High School is a diploma mill. The accrediting agency it claims by which to be accredited is one that is not recognized by the United States Department of Education. If you "earn" a high school diploma from this school it is unlikely that it will be recognized for admission to a college.

It claims accreditation, but the agency is questionable. See the Related Question below.

I was surprised to see that some high school is offering GED diploma, and just as I thought they are not offering GED diploma. Woodfield high school offers what they call GED alternative, but it is actually a high school diploma. In my opinion, a high school diploma is much better than a GED.

Woodfield High school is accredited through an online accreditation agency. Which colleges do not accept. Its a waste of time and money. Also as soon as you pass the test the customer service goes out the window. A scam at its best. I speak from experience.

No. Woodfield High School, and its good-for-nothing parent Woodfield University, are not only not accredited, but they're degree/diploma mills. STAY AWAY!

Below, in the "sources and related links" part of this web page is a link to a longer and more complete answer to this exact question; and it includes pretty much everything one needs to know about not only Woodfield, but about how to not be ripped-off by degree/diploma mills, just generally.

You pay $925 for a "Bachelor's degree" that has $0 value.

Don't let the shills confuse you about "accreditation". If you do nothing to earn the degree (and unfortunately "life experience" counts as nothing -- as does the bogus online test) you get a degree worth nothing. In fact, if you try to pass it off as a real degree in a job application you will likely be committing fraud.

Colleges and universities do accept accredited diplomas however the acceptance of this diploma in your application is just the acceptance of your application for review, having a school diploma is not a guarantee of admission into any college or university, whether it is woodfield or anyother school.

It is an online high school offering diploma programs for adult learners. Online schools are just as good as traditional schools. They follow the same set of quality and standards guidelines that traditional campus based schools follow. I personally think that a student with the desire to achieve goals can make any school work for their purpose. Just study hard and do your best.

The university publishes no physical address. It claims accreditation with an agency (The Universal Accreditation Agency for Online Education) that also publishes no physical address, does not publish the names of its senior staff and directors and is in fact not recognized by any traditional academic establishments. The university web site does not publish the names of any of its senior staff or academic leaders.

It is very likely that the online courses will result in a certificate. Before investing time or money into this university, it is worth inquiring with your local higher education bodies if a Woodfield University qualification is recognized by them.

Both the WOODFIELD HIGH SCHOOL, and WOODFIELD UNIVERSITY are diploma/degree mills... stay away!

In the US, a high school -- regardless whether it's online or in-classroom -- is credible and accredited only if its accreditor is one of the US's six big "regional" accreditors approved by the US Department of Education (USDE). Period. At the high school level, only "regional" accreditation will do.

In the US, a college/university -- regardless whether it's online or in-classroom -- is credible and accredited only if its accreditor (be it "regional" or "national") is one that's approved by the US Department of Education (USDE), and/or the USDE-sanctioned Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). At the college/university level, nothing else will do.

Do not be fooled by the bogus claims on such as Woodfield's websites. In Woodfield's case, it claims to be accredited by the "Universal Accreditation Agency for Online Education" (UAAOE). And, further, the websites list UAAOE as a legitimate accreditor, alongside the US's six big "regional" accreditors.

THAT IS A RUSE! Do not believe it. It's a con artist's trick to make UAAOE seem like it's just another accredtor, just like the USDE- and/or CHEA-approved "regional" ones. Do not, again, be fooled! Those are exactly the kinds of games and sleight-of-hand that both three-card-monty con artists, and degree mill con artists play. Do not be fooled!

The six big "regional" accreditors, and the states they cover, are:

Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSACS): New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, as well as schools for American children in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East

New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC): Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont

North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCACS): Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, New Mexico, South Dakota, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) and the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU): Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.

Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC): California, Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, Micronesia, Palau, and Northern Marianas Islands, as well as schools for American children in Asia.

Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS): Virginia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and Texas.

Links to the websites of the six "regional" accreditors are below, in the "sources and related links" section of this web page, below.

At the college/university level, it's far faster and easier to look-up any college, university, seminary, or post-secondary trade/vocational school in either or both of the USDE and/or CHEA databases. If a post-secondary school of any kind is not listed in at least one of those two databases, then said school is not accredited, period. Links to the USDE and CHEA databases are provided in the "sources and related links" section of this web page, below.

Colleges and universities do accept high school diplomas issued by an accredited educational institute. Woodfield is an accredited online school.
