POSITIVELY YES!
World Harvest Church has changed from non denominational to becoming the world empire of Pentecostalism via the egoistic Parsley bunch.
As someone who is a devout follower of Christ, I can can tell you from experience, World Harvest Church does not represent the totality of Jesus.
It is an organization founded by the Parsley family and kept secretive by them. The fundraising is questionable. The teaching and attitude of the people are estranged from full scripture teaching. They are totally dependent upon one man (Parsley) to bless them. The services are like a Hollywood set with a bunch of brainwashed fanatics.
The church never provides financial statements or proof of legitimacy for the mission work like the Samaritans Purse or other accountable 501 c3 organizations do.
The people or friends will disassociate themselves with you if you are not part of their circle.
I've been to two services this year 2011 and the following are real events that happened:
1. Parsley was on stage laying hands on the choir singers, when he looked at a girl (she looked down like she was nervous) Parsley told her not to look away from him while he was looking at her, that there is blessing in my eyes and cursing in my frown. Wow! I was so shocked to here such a thing from a pastor.
2. I attended with my children, when Parsley was wanting his ushers to hand out oil vials (with his picture on them) for the followers. Upon his anger of the sluggish distribution, Parsley grabbed the vials of oil from the boxes and started throwing them at people in the audience.
That was it for me!
It has all the tall-tell signs of a cult. Be warned!
According to definition a cult is described as the following:
A cult that is big enough to have political power is called a church.
City Harvest Church was created in 1989.
The Catholic Church is not a cult. It is the original Christian Church and traces its origins back to Jesus Christ and the apostles. To be honest, all those churches that split from the Catholic Church starting with the Protestant Reformation better meet the definition of cult.
HArvest Baptist Church is at 92 Hill Street,Daily City,CA
Nope. Your question isn't very clear though, why on the first place it's considered a cult church?
al gore is the leader of the best secret cult in the world. the name of the cult is "environmentalists."
I don't think you can upgrade the church in Harvest Moon Animal Parade.
The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ. He was a leader of all the disciples which formed a group but the Catholic Church didn't really come from a cult.
The PMCC 4th Watch is a Christian Church and is not a cult, but belongs to the Christian Evangelical Community.

No, the Evangelical Presbyterian church is not a cult. A cult usually is defined as having a single, living leader with a strong, magnetic personality and absolute authority over his (nearly always a man) followers. The Evangelical Presbyterian church is a fairly typical Protestant church of the Reformed Tradition with emphasis on personal salvation through a born-again experience. Just as significantly, Evangelical Presbyterians reject what they view as the "liberal" elements in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) such as ecumenism and tolerance of diverse theological opinions.
Neither. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is no more a cult than any other religion. It is not typically regarded as 'mainstream', but there is nothing about the conduct of the Church or it's members that is cause to say it is a cult or 'sick'.
