Isn't it odd that some people compare women to pets?

Isn't it odd that some people can think an adult relationship should be compared to a relationship that is characterized by dependence?

If you want a good relationship with your dog, consider its needs. If you want a good relationship with a woman, consider hers.

If you want to be an adult, grow up.

Answer

While your comments are interesting it's the first I've heard of it. I've heard (and said things myself) such as 'The more I get to know people the more I love my pets.' Pet owners in the U.S. and Canada have tripled due to the loneliness of divorce, bad relationships and just having a warm companion that doesn't mind how you look, if you make a mistake, etc. However, just like pets that need their own kind every so often so does the human species.
