There is a semi autonomus region in Northern Iraq with that name but the other areas which militants refer to as 'Kurdistan' belong to Turkey, Iran and Syria. The militants are in a stick and stone 'struggle' against the armies of these countries. Nothing big but a big inconveniance as noone wants to go somewhere where they may or may not be terrorists lurking.

There is not a country called Kurdistan... So you can not be a citizen of a country which does not exist... Whatever nationality you are... u will need a visa unless you are a citizen of an EU country or US...!
