try putting it in duf mode.( if it doesnt make a sound on your computer then you have to time it.) if u dnt know how to do it. hold the top and bottem butten Dow for 10 secs then let go of the bottom one till u here a sound on ur computer
Edit: my answer. This does work (for me at least..) because I had this exact problem (jailbroken iPod touch stuck on recovery mode screen) and I just kept experimenting to fix it. You're going to need a different computer with the latest iTunes installed. Simple turn on iTunes, plug in your iPod touch with the new computer and it should say that iTunes has found an iPod in recovery mode. Press ok and click 'restore'. Then just go through the rest and you'll be downloading the latest firmware for you iPod Touch. Hope this helps you and other people with this problem.
Edit: if that doesn't work then trick your iPod touch! How? by doing this:
1. launch blackra1n or download it
2. "click make it ra1n"
3.let it shut your iPod touch off
4.then while it says "running" turn your iPod touch on rapidly......
5. slide or put in passcode if needed then enjoy your iPod
:)
OR HOLD SLEEP AND HOME FOR ABOUT 30, MORE LIKELY THAT THE IPOD IS GOING TO TURN OFF BEFORE 30 SECS
Yes. .... Just restore on iTunes
Yes, just sync like normal
Yes, you can. There are two ways to do this:Simply upgrade the software. The software reverts any unauthorized modifications of the iPod (the jailbreak) back to the original iPod settings.Do a Restore through iTunes.
if its already jailbroken than you will need to unjailbreak it (take the jailbreak off) then when its normal ;go to itunes go to and click update and cancel it because it will erase every thing than push shift+restore and it will update .then when its done install your jailbreak program:blackra1n,redsn0w,etc.
same as normal
Yes. Simply restore iTunes without clicking any options or anything and it should be back to normal.
The Jailbroken IPod has Cydia, which "unlocks" or makes your IPod capable of more tasks than a regular IPod.
Well what probobly happened is it got deleted so go to the recycle bin and look for it and then click it then say restore and it should be back to normal.
Im not sure what you mean by installer but I assume your talking about apps. If you want to install apps you can download them from the app store and it will automatically install.Or you can download on itunes and sync to iPhone. If you have jailbroken you need to install 'installous' on cydia by adding hackulous as a source . Search how to install installous. For a normal iPhone that hasn't been jailbroken you don't need a extra program. But for jailbroken you need installous. I work for apple California i would know Also don't jailbreak it messes up your iPhone slows it down and voids your warranty.
It will get rid of all your content but go into itunes click on your phone... Than click restore. Follow the onscreen instructions and your back to normal.... Make sure you sync your phone first so you can put any apps or music you have currently back on..
No, it is not normal. iTunes should be recognizing your iPod Touch as an iPod Touch, not an iPhone.
normal if it doesnt do it a lot but if it constantly does it i would restore it if that doesnt work and your iPod hasn't been jailbroken then bring it in to the apple store or get a support ticket from apples website. remember if you are in Canada you must type in http://www.apple.ca if you are in us type in .com.
