Job outlook for the future being a dentist? |
[Edit] |
[Edit]
The job outlook for dentists in the USA where I live is strong -- even when the economy is slowing down. Similar to the shortage seen in nursing, the dental profession does not have enough dentists entering the field. Many baby-boomer dentists are also retiring, and there's a yearly deficit of about one thousand dentist in the US. Decrease in supply equals an increase in demand. Also, with things slowing down in the economy, many dentists pick up part time work at several offices to keep their income at the level that they need.
