He was the 1 British man who found the Eastern part of Canada(NewFoundland).He was the second person besides the natives obviously to come to N.A.The first was Columbus who discovered more of the U.S.He was a great explorer but unfortunately their is not much about his life you can find on the internet besides that his quest was to find the riches and spices of Canada to trade with the Europeans back home.He had a theory that going straight west across the Atlantic would be a faster route than Columbus's.
