John steinbeck get the title of grapes of wrath?

[Edit]

The title 'Grapes of Wrath' comes from the lyrics to 'Battle Hymn of the Republic' a poem written by Julia Ward Howe in 1861 and set to an earlier piece of music by William Steffe.
" Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.
He is stamping out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored."

It was suggested by his first wife, Carol.
