Juan Ponce de Leon was a Spanish explorer. He was in search of the Fountain of Youth which was a big myth in Europe back then. He first landed in Florida claiming it for Spain and gave it the name it has today. He aslo conquered Puerto Rico and established San Juan. He died in 1521, he was shot by an arrow then brought to Havana, Cuba and died there.
