I am sorry to say this, extremly sorry infact, when your game says "unknown game" it usualy means...um...that it is broken, BUT, there are two possible ways to fix this, buy a new game or if your far in the game and don`t want a new game, you can try rubbing the pins (the small gold things on the game card) of the game card against a clean, smooth shirt or cloth, it worked for me and I am sure it will work for you, the only thing I do not advice you to do is to is to breathe on the pins of the game or put any liquid on to the the pins of the game card, this could result in the game breaking down forever and then whatever you ask you will not be able to find a way to fix your game!
