Luminous objects are those which can produce light of their own, while non luminous objects cannot produce their own light.

Example of Luminous object:
Sun

Example of Non-Luminous objects:
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars,Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and also Moons.
