Yes, it is possible for you to massage your own face to get relief from sinus pressure. Follow this routine:
- Massage your forehead, making small circles, from the center out towards your temples
- Massage in small circles from the base of your nose (on each side of your nostrils) away and across your cheeks (under the cheek bone)
- Feel for a small notch at the base of your eye, towards the ridge or your nose, right under your eyebrow ridge. The spot will be very tender. Use a finger to hold pressure on this spot for at least 10 seconds. Release and repeat on both sides of your nose at least 3 times.
- Feel about a finger's width away from the first notch and you'll likely feel another. Repeat the process here as well.
- At the base of your nose, near your lips, you'll feel a small indentation on each side. Apply pressure for at least 10 seconds on each side as well.
- Apply pressure to the point at the ridge of your nose, in between your eyebrows.
- Make small circles and massage the area directly under your cheekbones, applying pressure upwards
- Massage along your jawline, moving from your ears to your chin
- Yawn to relax the muscles in your face
- Massage the top of your head and make sure to stop and apply pressure to any tender points you feel.
