The Bible does not tell us the name of Peter's wife. Legend does not state the name of Peter's wife. There is no evidence or literature to suggest that his wife's name was Perpetua or Concordia her name has not come down to us. Legend does state that he had at least one daughter named Petronilla.

What work for God did Paul the Apostle do?

Saint Paul of the Bible is reffered to as an Apostle. An Apostle, more than a simple disciple, was a commissioner appointed by Jesus. In other words, what Paul taught us is mandated by Jesus the Christ! In Paul's letters, we find detailed explanations of the things of the Kingdom. The explanation of who Jesus Is, of our duties, etc.. The Apostle Paul certainly served The Lord by furthering The Gospel of The Kingdom!

What is tribe of Apostle Paul?

Paul, formerly Saul of Tarsus was a Roman citizen. I don't know that the word 'tribe' would actually apply to him as it might to Jesus (Tribe of David) or Mary Magdalene (Tribe of Benjamin) or the 12 original desciples.

Who was the first apostle?

Paul, formerly the devout Jew known as Saul, was the apostle of the gentiles. This was because Paul took the message of the gospel to the Gentiles, instead of only preaching to the Jewish people.

What did Paul tell the Galatians about the way to obtain salvation and righteousness?

The apostle Paul wrote with strong conviction about the provision for salvation that God had made through Jesus Christ. Also in his letter to the Galatians, he wrote: "The Law has become our tutor leading to Christ, that we might be declared righteous due to faith." (Galatians 3:24)

Was the Apostle Paul considered a philosopher?

not really. He waws a tent maker early on and probably did that off and on for much of his life... maybe... But he , when he lived, was considered prophet and messenger of God , preaching that the Messiah had come, the Savior of the world had come. Of course, if you weren't into Chrsit you might have just thought of him as a fool but Prophet, representaive of God, bearer of the gospel.. these terms all work.

Can a man call himself an apostle in the present time?

The word 'apostle' comes from the Greek for 'messenger', so it would be quite rational for someone to refer to him or herself as an apostle, especially in a religious context. However, it may be more difficult to be taken seriously in making that claim.More:Biblically, one of the qualifications to be an apostle of Christ, you must have been with him in person. Paul qualified when Christ appeared to him in the vision on the road to Damascus. So no one alive today would qualify to be an apostle of Jesus Christ, but might call themselves an apostle of someone else.

What is the name of the Apostle Paul's or Saul's horse?

The Bible does record that Paul ever road a horse (although he might of), much less give the horse's name.

What does apostolic fullness mean?

Apostolic fullness means to fulfill the calling in which the apostle has been given by God, for a season. The number 12 means apostolic fullness, as well as governmental rule, so by completing this task, the apostle have established the churches God opened through him/her and they are functioning in their full potential with the fire of the Holy Spirit. As Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:17 "the Lord stood with me and strengthened me so that the message might be preached fully through me.."

Did Apostle Paul die?

Christian traditions love a martyr's death, and Paul is traditionally held to have been martyred in Rome in the mid-60s of the first century. However, Clement of Rome, writing around 95 CE, seems to have believed that Paul went to Spain and might have died there. We do not know the year Paul died.

Does the lds church have insurance on the apostles?

While the Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) might have life insurance to benefit their individual families, the Church is not the beneficiary of the policy, the direct decendents of the Apostle are. The Apostles do not pay for health insurance, all their medical needs are provided for by the Church. If an Apostle owns a home or vehicle, he must provide his own insurance for that property.

What episode does the chicken crap on peters car?

If there is another pope named Peter what will happen?

If a new pontiff should take the name Peter, his name in Latin would be Petrus Secundus. In every day speech, most people would probably refer to him as "Pope Peter II," or simply, "Pope Peter." If they needed to distinguish between the two Peters in the same conversation or piece of writing, they might refer to the Apostle Peter as "Pope Saint Peter'" or "the first Pope," and to the other as "the present Pope." L'Osservatore Romano, the semi-official newspaper of the Holy See, would refer to the second Pope Peter as "Pietro II" (Pietro due).

Why is it relevant to know when the apostle Peter wrote 2 Peter?

If 2 Peter was written before about 50 CE, there is at least a possibility that it really was written by the apostle Peter. It can then be read keeping in mind that the contents of the epistle very possibly reflect the ideas of Peter and, through him, Jesus. If the epistle was written too late to have come from the apostle Peter, then it may reflect the views of the Christian Church, but only as they might have evolved over the decades since the death of Peter. In fact, most biblical scholars agree that the Second Epistle of Peter was written between 124 and 150 CE.
