Hello, I am 18 weeks pregnant and have applied for medicaid but I wanted to know if I would even be considered with my husbands income. I searched and searched and finally found it. If you go to this link... http://www.dhhs.state.nc.us/dma/basicmedelig.pdf it tells you on page two of the document. Please keep in mind that these are the requirements for people in the state of Texas. Hope this helps!

Medicaid is not insurance. It is a program for low-income persons who meet certain other requirements such as age or disability and citizenship/alienage status. There is no minimum income amount.

Medicaid is administered by the States, but I believe the universal requirement is income less than 200% of Federal poverty level.
