My lawnmower is about 4 year old last time i start the lawn mower and the pull cord stuck cant even pull itmy dad smeels gaso in the oil but i swear to god i didnt put gas in the oil.is that my fault?

[Edit]
The problem with the mower is not your fault; it just occurred when you were trying to use it in a normal way.

It would not be unusual in an older mower for the carburetor to flood and send way too much fuel into the cylinder. The gas would leak past the rings and end up in the oil.

So smelling gas in the oil is not necessarily a good indicator that the mower was sabotaged.

Mowers, like any other engine, need regular maintenance, like changing the oil. Most people neglect this on small engines. Lack of maintenance is the most likely suspect in the death of your mower...
