My mother says that IdishonerherI pray every night for God to help you with this. If he sees that you are trying to change will you still have a long life?

Answer

First, are you really dishonoring her? Do you do what she asks? Keep in mind if she tells you to do something against God, honor God, not her. But if she has your best interest in mind, then yes, if you are trying to do what is right, God sees that. I know the Bible says if you honor your father and mother you will have long life, but it doesn't say if you don't that you will have a short life. If you try to live wisely, your life will likely be longer. if you don't, you may not. Sometimes God's word is just sensible advice. Remember, God loves you no matter what! Do the best you can to honor your mother, and when you can't, God forgives you, and probably your mother too.
