NBA shooting percentages?In: Basketball |
Answer
FGP is a the number of field goals made (FGM) divided by the number of field goals attempts (FGA).
If a player is fouled on their field goal attempt and they miss, they get to shoot 2 or 3 free throws and the FGA is disregarded.
If a player is fouled on their field goal attempt and they make the shot they only get one free throw but the FGM and FGA get added to the equation.
(This is how I calculated it.)
