There are circle thermometers which are like a clock and you read the numbers from left to right. There are stick thermometers that go under your tongue, your arm pit or other body parts. The numbers go from bottom to top. There are digital thermometers that can go in your ear, on your finger or other body parts. There are inside thermometers and outside thermometers to tell the general warmth/coolness of the space/environment. There are different scales - Fahrenheit and Celsius. Thermometers may be used to take a person's body temperature, to tell how warm/cold it is outside or in a room, to test whether food is cooked to a desired temperature to be safe.
We hope we helped you.
The most common one is the digital one that can be used orally, rectally, and axillary. They also have mercury thermometers as well. More popular now are the tympanic and temporal thermometers.
There are several different types of thermometers. There are different thermometers for different purposes. Most of the old thermometers used mercury, which is toxic, but today a person can buy a digital thermometer or an infrared thermometer as well.
Mercury in glass, alcohol in glass, thermocouple, resistance thermometer
They are two types of thermometers one for temputer and another for food or meat
Digital, alcohol, mercury & LCD.
State the types of the thermometers
Mercury has recently been removed from almost all thermometers because the risk of breaking the thermometers and spillage of the harmful liquid.
Mercury was regularly used in thermometers in the past, but it is poisonous and is not used so often nowadays, as different types of thermometer are produced.
nonpolar covalent and polar covalent
Outdoor thermometers can be found at garden centers, department stores or superstores. There are also electronic stores that sell wireless outdoor thermometers.
thermometers are made out of mercury and alcohol because mercury expands when it is heated
There are 34 different types of thermometer that range from alcohol thermometers and ear thermometers to medical thermometers and electrical resistance thermometers.

Dozens of different types of thermometers are in use today, from mercury to alcohol to bi-metal coil to solid-state.
1. Clinical Thermometer 2. Laboratory Thermometer 3.
Using different types of thermometers, thermocouples, thermal resistances, pyrometers, etc.
There are several types of thermometers. Clinical thermometers are used to measure the body temperature of the patient. Ear Thermometers make it an accurate point to measure the body temperature. Pacifier thermometers are used to check the body temperature of babies or infants. Underarm thermometers are kept in the underarms to measure the body temperature. Not to mention the food thermometers that are often used for checking the heat of the oil or pop up to let you know when the meat is done.
There are a few different types of tug boats that exist. They all serve different functions. The different types include; Seagoing, Harbor, and River.
For example pyrometers for very high temperatures.
16 types of thermometers (:
Three different types of thermometers are :- 1. Liquid thermometer 2. Digital thermometer 3. Laser thermometer
The two types of thermometers are the total immersion and partial immersion thermometers. However, they both read temperature the same way!
