That means that it needs to be recharged. It turns on, but its battery is so low, that it barely stays on for a second. If you have no recharger to plug in, then borrow someone else's That's incorrect. If while powering the system up and either one of the screens flash white then it powers down, that means that there is a problem with the screen that didn't flash. These systems have a systems check while powering on. If there is a problem with one of the screens it will shut down. One of two things, a connection of the ribbon cable or a bad screen. I've fixed hundreds simply by removing the ribbon cables, cleaning with alcohol and reinstalling.

You would be best off either replacing it or getting it repaired.

If you are experienced with electronics and computer hardware, you can try to replace it yourself, but you would need a tri-wing screwdriver, Philips screwdriver, soldering kit and replacement screens.

ok. make sure to power it off. see if it will charge. If it is charging, the orange light will come on. the light is right next to the power light

good luck,

gameboy

Pathetic, the screens have nothing to do with the charging, if the ds wasnt charging at all it was the fuses fault!

Look, if your DS is flashing the bottom screen everytime you try turning it on means your top screen ribbon cable must be bad connected, check the cable, remove it carefully, clean with it with soft cotton then put it back all the way in, then try turning on, it that doesnt work it needs a new top screen because the ribbon cables cant be repaired!

I know because the same happened to me and it got a new top screen, now it works!

How to Insert and Play a Nintendo Ds Game Card?

In 2004, Nintendo developed and released a hand held game console called the Nintendo DS, which was similar to the Game Boy Advance clam shape design with two LCD screens. The bottom LCD screen is the touch screen where a stylus is used. Many of the games for the Nintendo are played by using a game card. These steps will tell you how to insert and play your Nintendo DS game card. Step 1: Make sure the Nintendo DS game system battery is fully charged. Step 2: Make sure the power is turned on your Nintendo DS system. Step 3: With the label on the game facing down, insert it into the Game Pak slot, and slide it into place until it clicks. Do not force the game into the slot, it should slide in fairly easy. Step 4: Open your Nintendo DS system. Step 5: Turn on the power by pressing down on the power button. Step 6: When the “Touch Screen Screen To Continue” message appears, use you stylus and tap the screen. Step 7: Play your Nintendo DS game and have fun. The Nintendo DS game system will also play the Game Boy cards. If you have a Game Boy card inserted at the same time you insert your Nintendo DS game card, only the Nintendo DS game will load. If you are having difficulty inserting your Nintendo DS game card, make sure you have the game card label down. Check inside the game slot to ensure there is no object preventing the game card from sliding in properly. If you don't find anything blocking the game card from properly sliding into the Nintendo DS game system, you may have to take the game system to a repair shop to have it looked at and repaired.
