Pull the inside hood release and then go to the front of the Explorer and press down
on the hood slightly while operating the auxillary hood release located just under the
front edge of the hood at the center
Does it not have a key lock by the front door handle ( that's what I did on my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT when the battery was dead )
