Unfortunately that is the most probable cause. If you start the motor from cold with the coolant filler cap OFF, press your hand over the top of the filler reservoir, if there is an escape of air when you release your hand [you may also see air bubbles in the res'], then the head gasket has blown between cylinder and coolant gallery, if no air escapes the gasket has prob gone between oil galley and coolant gallery, either way it's a head gasket change I'm afraid.
Sounds like a blown head gasket
That's usally a sign of a blown head gasket. When the engine is cold, take the radiator cap off and then start the engine, if the radiator starts to overflow then that is a sign of a blown head gasket.
a blown head gasket
Blown head gasket or cracked head.
cracked head or blown head gasket
Antifreeze in your oil is symptomatic of a blown head gasket. If your head gasket is blown you may have warped your head ( and possibly cracked it ). The fix for this is to remove the head and take it to a machine shop and to replace it along with a new head gasket.
not unless you have a cracked head or blown head gasket
I usually hook up a pressure tester to the radiator for about 20 minutes or so...pull the spark plugs out then crank over the motor. If the head gasket is blown then antifreeze will usually have gotten into the cylinder that has the blown section of the head gasket. When you crank over the engine then antifreeze will squirt out of the cylinder with the antifreeze in it. Also smell the exhaust.. can you smell antifreeze in the exhaust. Is there white smoke coming out of the tailpipe ? That is also a sign of a bad head gasket. Finally. Does the car overheat after a short period of driving ? Yet another sign of a bad head gasket.
Blown head gasket or cracked head or both are a good bet.
Odds are you have blown a head gasket and the antifreeze and oil flow share the same gasket. As the gasket wears, the antifreeze mixes into the oil and vice versa! I suggest replacing your current antifreeze and do a full flush. Test it for a few days and test if you have oil again. A tell tell sign of a blown head gasket is black smoke (burning oil) or white smoke (burning antifreeze ) coming out the exhaust.
Usually that means you have a blown head gasket or a warped head.
