you don't, necessarily. For all crops, including trees, if someone ELSE harvests for you, you get a large crop. If you harvest yourself, you get a small crop. You get paid more for the large crops than the small ones.
Some people choose not to harvest trees AT ALL. Fruit on trees does not go bad like crops planted in fields do. And fruit generally doesn't sell for as much per crop as most other things. Because of this, some people choose to not harvest, so that they will have the colorful fruit always visible. Some also like to wait until most or all of their trees have fruit before harvesting, so they may not harvest them sometimes, and then do them all together later.
If someone chooses to harvest their own trees, it is probably because they either 1) don't know they'd get paid better otherwise or 2) only have a few trees ready, and don't want to bother finding someone to harvest for them for a very small job.

∙ 14y agoYou don't have to harvest your crops, but why wouldn't you want to? You get money and your trees grow older/mature and get more fruit in the end.

How do you put trees on plowing without dirt paths on farm town?
1. Make the farm where you want to put your trees, flowers, buildings and decorations on your default farm. You click on the name of the farm at the top of the farm and put the check mark in make this my default farm. Note: you can't do this in full screen mode. 2. click in upper right hand corner next to the wrench for options to go offline. 3. right click on the word play at the upper left hand corner of the game screen and choose open link in new tab. 4. Make sure both tabs are offline. 5. Plow your farm as usual on one tab 6. Put the trees, buildings and decorations where you want them on the second tab. (note not all trees and decorations hide) 7. Once you have finished both tabs close one of the tabs, reload the page and go back online.

There are a few different Harvest Moon games for the Wii. Always include the full title so someone can accurately answer your questions. Harvest Moon Magical Melody: The Harvest Sprites will introduce themselves at the start of the game. You can see them whenever you want by going to the Goddess Spring. Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility: Get both halves of the Quilt and then water the Flowers that grow under the Special Trees found around town. There is one in the Town Square, near Brownie Ranch, and in Maple Lake District. There are two more after that but you can not reach those until you help the other Harvest Sprites. Harvest Moon Animal Parade: Speak with the Harvest Goddess and she will tell you about five Bells. Find the missing Bell to meet the Harvest Sprite that goes with it. You won't be able to see the Sprite again until you place his Bell on the correct Bell Frame. Once you put the Bell back on, ring it and then the Harvest Sprite will return to the Goddess Spring and you can visit him whenever you want.
