Mail does not run on Sundays or the following holidays:

  • January 1 - New Year's Day
  • Third Monday in January - Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday
  • Third Monday in February - President's Day
  • Last Monday in May - Memorial Day
  • July 4 - Independence Day
  • First Monday in September - Labor Day
  • Second Monday in October - Columbus Day
  • November 11 - Veterans Day
  • Fourth Thursday in November - Thanksgiving Day
  • December 25 - Christmas Day

When one of the above dates falls on a Sunday, there is no mail delivery the following day.

In the US, there is no mail delivery on Sundays, or on these Government holidays:

  • New Year's Day, January 1
  • Martin Luther King. Jr Day, third Monday in January
  • Washington's Birthday (President's Day), third Monday in February
  • Memorial Day, last Monday of May
  • Independence Day, July 4
  • Labor Day, first Monday in September
  • Columbus Day, second Monday in October
  • Veteran's Day, November 11
  • Thanksgiving Day, fourth Thursday in November
  • Christmas Day, December 25
