You need to reprogram the windows, which is very easy to do. Just press the "down" button on the window until it comes to a stop at the bottom, then continue to hold it. After 2 or 3 seconds you'll hear a faint "click". Then push the "up" button until the window comes to a complete stop. Once again, continue to hold the button until you hear the faint "click". The window should now be reprogrammed. Do the same thing with the passenger window. That's all their is to it.
Yeah... sorry but break open a window.
no the only window that can be replaced is the center one that slides. in some sliders not all.
In the rear window
There is no normal correlation between replacing the battery and the failure of a power window. It may be a bad switch that just coincidentally happened to fail at about the same time as the battery replacement.
Usually the switch. It should be replaced, or (if you're so inclined) it can be taken apart and repaired. Careful of Chinese made switches (not worth using).
If the windows do not lower automatically when opening door (to clear convertible top) and then raise atomatically when door is shut, then check your battery. Right after I purchased my 2001 XK8 used, it cost me $300 at the Jag dealer for a new battery to learn this tidbit.
The window cannot be repaired and should be replaced. Contact your local glass company for cost of glass. The pane of glass needs only to be replaced not the whole window.

Fully charge it, then put it in your camera and see how long it lasts. If it doesn't hold a charge as long as it did before, it should be replaced. Lithium ion batteries have a limited number of recharges.
