Once two Sims are engaged how do you get them to have a wedding and can you invite people to the wedding?

You keep them interacting with each other. If you click on the opposite sim, the action "propose" should come up. You click on that and "marriage" should come up. You click on that and they get married. If you want to have a big wedding, you go into buy mode. Click on the three dots. Then you click on party balloons. In there, there should a wedding arch. Buy it. Then click on it, and it will give you the option to invite others to the wedding.

The wedding arch/ party theory is WRONG! If you want your sims to get married with no party, then click the arch. To get married with a party, invite your fiancee over, click on the phone and choose throw party. Then you get to invite people, and if the party is a hit then you will get a honeymoon.
