from another site ... Try website for Cafe El Marino Coffee Company, Mazatlan, Mexico. Their website has email addresses for their executives. Javier Lizzaraga is Sales Manager. I would think he would know which grocery chains carry the product or put you in contact with someone at Sara Lee, who would know. Cafe El Marino packs all of the Chock Full of Nuts Coffee for Sara Lee, which owns Chock Full of Nuts.

The coffee was called 'Chock Full O' Nuts' by the owner, William Black, in 1926, because his business was originally a nut business. William Black originally sold nuts in his shop. But when the Great Depression struck, he decided to help his fellow neighbourhood by converting his nut shop into a coffee shop. Where the poor who had been hit with poverty, in Williams words, "can have a coffee and sandwich for just a nickel". It stayed as a coffee shop after the Great Depression, leading to it's popularity today.
The first coffee kiosk was opened in New York City back in the early 70's. It was located in midtown and featured Chock Full of Nuts coffee brands and snacks.

I don't believe there is a recipe....but I loved those donuts way back when....I am going to experiment and try to duplicate that donut!!!!!
Old Judge Coffee was owned by David Evans. It was actually called the David Evans Coffee Co. and was one of the best selling brands in the USA until it was purchased by Chock Full O' Nuts in 1969. The building is still located on the Saint Louis Landing and can be seen from I-70.
There are loads of cheap but excellent tasting brands of coffee, such as Folgers Columbian, Eight O'Clock Coffee, Sam's Choice Organic Coffee, Chock Full o' Nuts, and Community Coffee New Orleans blend. Which one is the best, however, is a matter of personal opinion.
If it's called coffee, then it's made from coffee beans.
