It could be any number of things. It may be Gall Bladder, especially if it occurs within 2 hours of eating a very fatty meal. But it could be something serious like liver or pancreatic troubles. If it persists longer than a week or so, see your doctor.

∙ 15y agoYes. This just happened to me and it's very painful. There is nothing you can do except rest. My doctor gave me a braise to wear around my stomach/ribs which has been supportive but it has been 2 weeks and so far no improvement.... Hang in there!

∙ 9y agoI too get pains in my ribs and when i questioned the doctor he thinks that it is indegestion. he said that if you have indegestion it means you are eating too quick and you should slow down.
