There are many things that can cause pain under the right side by the ribs. It can be problems with the liver, gall bladder, appendix, Crohn's disease, hernia, acid reflux, rib injury, or other issue.

∙ 14y agoIt could be related to your gallbladder or gallstones. Pain located in the right upper quadrant and slightly over the navel can indicate gallstones. Monitor your pain. Does it keep you up at night? How does it feel--sharp and stabbing, dull and achy..how long, when did it start, what do you do to feel better...and chart your diet, any changes, how you are feeling in general.
Do yourself a favor and get it checked. Gallstones can make you miserable and impair pancreatic functioning. Check out WebMd as they have a great article on gallstones..
