The best way to get a new card is to go to your district's US Representative. He or She will have a person on staff to handle Immigration issues. If you can remember the date of immigration on the old Green Card and possibly Port of entry you came in at, it will be helpful to pass this to them. I came here in 1953 with my mother who had a different last name than mine. I told the Representative the date of entry and the place (Ellis Island), my mothers name, and lo and behold, they found my Green Card still stapled to the back of hers in their archives! Good Luck!
