Different plugs are designed so that you can't plug an appliance into the wrong voltage. A dryer is usually 220-240 Volts and your standard outlet is 110-120 Volts. You can't do what you suggest.
If you mean installing a plug in your wall for the dryer, I advise calling an electrician unless you know someone who is very experienced and confident with electricity.

A 30-Amp receptacle has a different prong configuration than does a 50-Amp. So this isn't possible. Even if it were possible, trying to operate a 50 Amp appliance on a 30-Amp circuit would overload...
