Prophet mohammad in christianity? |

Answer
The Bible says that anyone who accepts Jesus as THE CHRIST he is from God 1 John 5:1. and All Muslims believe that Jesus IS THE CHRIST in Al-Quran 4:171.
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the New Testament:
Al-Qur'an Chapter 61 Verse 6:
"And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said, 'O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me and giving glad tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed.' But when he came to them with clear signs, they said, 'This is evident sorcery!' "
All the prophecies mentioned in the Old Testament regarding Muhammad (pbuh) besides applying to the Jews also hold good for the Christians
Gospel of John chapter 14 verse 16:
"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever."
Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 7:
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you".
"Ahmed" or "Muhammad" meaning "the one who praises" or "the praised one" is almost the translation of the Greek word Periclytos. In the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26, and 16:7. The word 'Comforter' is used in the English translation for the Greek word Paracletos which means advocate or a kind friend rather than a comforter.
Paracletos is the warped reading for Periclytos. Jesus (pbuh) actually prophesised Ahmed by name. Even the Greek word Paraclete refers to the Prophet (pbuh) who is a mercy for all creatures.
Some Christians say that the Comforter mentioned in these prophecies refers to the Holy Sprit. They fail to realize that the prophecy clearly says that only if Jesus (pbuh) departs will the Comforter come. The Bible states that the Holy Spirit was already present on earth before and during the time of Jesus (pbuh), in the womb of Elizabeth, and again when Jesus (pbuh) was being baptised, etc. Hence this prophecy refers to none other than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Gospel of John chapter 15 verse 26:
"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me."
Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 12-14:
"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me".
Jesus said. He shall glorify me", He shall Testify me".
Mohammad (PBUH) is the only one after Jesus who Testifies and Glorifies Jesus (PBUH) as exactly as Jesus (PBUH) prophesized.
For this reason, when we read the Gospel of Barnabas, we find that when the Jews ask Jesus (pbuh) whether he is "the messiah" he replies that he is not "the messiah" that they are expecting.
"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law." Matthew 10:34-35
This is because he understood their question. They were not asking him for his title, rather, they wanted to know whether he was the one who would finally fulfill all of their prophesies of leadership, power, and grandeur that they had been waiting for so many centuries.
For this reason, he told them that he was not "the messiah", but that "the Messiah" they were waiting for would not come until later. He was referring to the SECOND messiah in their prophesies. (The Jews had expectations of three prophecies to be fulfilled)
In the Bible we read of the test that the Jews applied to Jesus (pbuh) in order to ascertain his truthfulness. The Jews had a prophecy that required Elias to come before Jesus (pbuh): "Elias verily cometh first" (Mark 9:12).
They had not seen Elias yet so there was still doubt as to Jesus (PBUH) being the Messiah. Jesus, however, responded to them that Elias had already come but that they did not recognize him.
In Matthew 17:12-13 we read:
"But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not...Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist".
John, however DENIES the claims of Jesus (pbuh). This is one of the Christian's "dark sayings of Jesus" that their scholars have yet to reconcile and we will leave this matter for them to work out among themselves.
In John 1:19-21 we read
"And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, "Who art thou?. And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the christ. And they asked him, What then? ART THOU ELIAS? And he saith, I am not. ART THOU THAT PROPHET? And he answered, No".
We notice that there are three distinct prophecies here:
· Elias,
· Messiah
· That prophet.
The Jews were not waiting for two prophecies, but three.
This can be further clarified by reading John 1:25:
"And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be:
a) Not the Christ,
b) nor Elias,
c) neither that Prophet?"
John answered them
"I baptize with water, but among you stand one you do not know, 1: 26
Even he who comes after me, the strap of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie." 1: 27.
"That prophet" could not be Jesus (pbuh), because that would make the third question in both verses redundant; nor can we believe that "that prophet" is the Holy Ghost; did John look like a ghost? Further, we must remember that "That prophet" can not apply to any prophet before the time of Jesus (pbuh) because at the time of Jesus (pbuh) the Jews were still waiting for all three.
Notice how when we let the Bible speak for itself, without forcing the holy spirit or other supernatural meanings on it in the commentary, or forcing three questions to be only two, how clear these verses become.
It is quite obvious from the above verses that the followers of Jesus (pbuh) recognized that the Jews were waiting for three prophesies to be fulfilled.
The Bible, to one degree or another, confirms that both the first and second prophesies were fulfilled. However, it provides no logical explanation for the third prophesy.
John 16:5-16
7But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: 9in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; 10in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.
12"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.
Jesus (PBUH) will come again
16"In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me."
According to the Bible, the coming prophet would come from Arabia:
"And he said, The Lord came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them." (Deuteronomy 33:2)
Mount 'Paran' is the area located between the mountains of Abu-Qubays, Qi`an and Hira' in Mecca. It is where Abraham took his wife Hajar and their child Ishmael as in (Genesis 21:14,20-21):
"And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba … And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer. And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt." (Genesis21:14,20-21)
His universal message would gather people from all around the globe, and would bring them for pilgrimage to Mecca (land of 'Kedar' the Grandfather of Quraysh, the tribe of Muhammad (peace be upon him), as in the following prophecy:
"For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to you: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto you, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto you. The multitude of camels shall cover you, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord. All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto you, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto you: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory. Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?" (Isaiah 60:2-8)
They would praise Allah, as they do annually in 'Mina' and 'Arafat', 'the mountain tops' in the following prophecy:
"Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. Let them give glory unto the Lord, and declare his praise in the islands." (Isaiah 42:10-12)
"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he saith, I am not learned." (Isaiah 29:12)
This amazingly coincides with how Muhammad (peace be upon him) received the first revelation:
"…till Truth came upon him while he was in the cave of Hira'. There came to him the angel and said: Read, to which he replied: I do not know how to read. He took hold of me (the Apostle said) and pressed me, till I was hard pressed; thereafter he let me off and said: Read. I said: I do not know how to read. He then again took hold of me and pressed me for the second time till I was hard pressed and then let me off and said: Read, to which I replied: I do not know how to read. He took hold of me and pressed me for the third time, till I was hard pressed and then let me go and said: (Read in the name of your Lord Who created, created man from a clot of blood. Recite. And your Most Bountiful Lord is He Who taught the use of pen, taught man what he knew not) Then the Prophet returned therewith, his heart was trembling…" (narrated by Al-Bukhari)
Malachi (chap. iii. I): He will come to his temple
In the last book of the Old Testament called Mallachai, or Mallakhi, or in the Authorized Version, Malachi (chap. iii. I):
"Behold I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: suddenly he will come to his temple. He is the Adonai (i.e. the Lord) whom you desire, and the Messenger of the Covenant with whom you are pleased. Lo he is coming, says the Lord of hosts."
"Exalted is He who caused His worshiper (Prophet Muhammad) to travel in the night from the sacred Mosque (Mecca) to the farthest Mosque (Jerusalem) which We have blessed around it that We might show him of Our signs. He is the Hearer, the Seer." Ch.17:1 Quran
Isaiah 29:12: I am not learned
The first revelation of Allah through the angel Gabriel to Muhammad [PBUH] was the word "Iqra" which means "Read" in Surah 96:1-5. As he was illiterate he replied; "1 cannot read." This first revelation was prophesied in Isaiah 29:12:
"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray you and he saith, I am not learned."
Isaiah 28:10-11: order of revelation
The order of the revelations is not as the order it is seen in the Qur'an. In other words the first pan revealed is not in the first page and the last part revealed is not in the last page. That these revelations came in instalments and inserted in certain order in the Qur'an as ordained by Allah, was also mentioned in Isaiah 28:10-11:
"For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak co his people." Another tongue means here another language, not Hebrew or Aramaic but Arabic.
(It is) a Quran which We have divided (into parts from time to time), in order that thou mightest recite it to men at intervals: We have revealed it by stages. [017:106]
Zephaniah 3:9: Different language
Muslims all over the world are using one language, which is Arabic, in calling their God, in their prayers, pilgrimage and in their greetings to each other. Also this unity of language had been prophesied in
Zephaniah 3:9: "For then will I turn to the people a pure language, thai they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one consent." Alas the Truth has come in Arabic, but some still expect Prophet Jesus [PBUH], who might teach mankind to worship Allah in one unique language in his second coming. We Muslims are sure that Prophet Jesus in his second coming will join the Muslims in their mosques as he is like any other Muslim, circumcised, not eating pork, and performing prayers with ablution, standing, bowing and prostration.
Note that God has said in the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18, "If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account." (Deuteronomy, 18:19).
This means that whoever believes in the Bible must believe in what this prophet says, and this prophet is the Prophet Muhammad PBUH).
It's mentioned in the book of Deuteronomy 18:20
" But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death."
Prophet Mohammad (PUH) preached the oneness of God for 23 years but was not killed by anyone. He did complete his job. Allah (swt) says in the holy Quran: "And Allah will protect you (Mohammad) from people." (5:67)
Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) preached that there is only ONE GOD. But the Bible says if the prophet speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death.
"O Messenger (Muhammad SAW)! Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message. Allah will protect you from people. Verily, Allah guides not the people who disbelieve." (5:67)
Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was indeed protected by God Almighty because all the pagans try to kill him many times but they failed.
And Allah will protect you (Mohammad) from people. (5:67)
Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) condemned statues idol worshiping means fake gods.
It's mentioned in the book of Deuteronomy 18:21:22
You may say to yourselves, "How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD?"
If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.
What ever Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) predicted has come true.
