Grupo Mania is a popular merengue band in Puerto Rico. The band has achieved gold status with some of their albums. Grupo Mania has also been nominated for several Grammy Awards.

Many - Mambo, Limbo, Jonkonnu, Tambu, Oreisha, and Shango (And there are more) we got the son from Cuba the merengue from the Dominican Republic also the Salsa and reggaeton plus bomba and plena from Puerto Rico.
In Puerto Rico we listen to everything, even hits here in America. There were two genres invented in Puerto Rico, Salsa and Reggeaton It also depends on people's like. I like listening to merengue,bachata, reggeaton, and salsa but it's just my opinion hope i could help :)

well theres different varieties of music. you will hear some bachata, merengue, salsa, reggaeton & even some hip hop, rap, rock and pop ! Puerto Rico's second language is English so we listen to songs in English also. i dis agree the only music they listen to in Puerto Rico is reggaeton
