Best Answer

According to MSNBC, the rainiest city is Mobile, Alabama with 67 inches of average rainfall a year. However, they only counted the largest 100 cities in the U.S. Some towns with over 100 inches of average annual rainfall are:

Yakutat, Alaska: 151 in

Hilo, Hawaii: 129 in

Forks, Washington: 117 in

Quillayute, Washington: 105 in

Annette, Alaska: 103 in

Alaska and Hawaii both have areas of very high rainfall. The Olympic Peninsula in Washington state is the area of highest rainfall (and the only rainforest) in the continental United States.
