Ran out of gas and truck will not start with gas now what do I do?

call a friend and tell them to bring a gallon full of gas and bring it to the location where u where at when the car stopped.
fuel pump is in tank. probably fried it cause they need fuel for cooling. check for fuel pressure at motor or after fuel tank - if no fuel, then change fuel pum in tank and fuel filter on frame rail.

May have to prime fuel lines Try turning the key to on position without trying to start vehicle for about 5 sec. Do this 2-3 times and then try to start If you simply ran it out of gas you will need to check the fuses labeled ECM on the fuse panel under the hood. See the fuse guide on the underside of the fuse box cover to locate them. If you find one burnt, replace and it should start right up within a few attempts.
