Recipe and Red velvet cake?

RED VELVET CAKE 2 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 1/2 c sugar
1 1/2 c oil
1 c buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp cocoa
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vinegar
1-2oz bottle red food coloring (or 2-1oz bottle) Mix all ingredients together and bake at 350F for about 30 to 35 minute. Icing: 1 Box (16oz) confectioner's sugar (sifted)
1 stick butter, softened
1 8oz package cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup mixed nuts

vanilla Combine first 5 ingredients. Add remaining ingredients until icing forms peaks. Fold in the nuts and spread over the cake.

Here is the True Red Velvet Icing. Cream cheese icing is not a true Red Velvet.

5 Tbsp heaping Flour (plain)
1 c Sugar 1 cup Milk
2 sticks Butter (softened) 2 tsp Vanilla Cook flour and milk til really really thick, then cool completely. I usually put in frig to cool. Beat sugar, butter, and vanilla Add flour mixture and beat until looks like whip cream. This is not a rich icing and it is really light like whip cream.
