Recycling rates for the state of Texas Georgia Florida California and Louisiana?

[Edit]

Answer

California has the best and most user friendly bottle (and can!) deposit laws. Something we all know as CRV, our wonderful California Redemption Value. Here the going rate is $1.55/lb for aluminum cans with many scrap metal dealers paying as much as $2.00/lb. Michiganders and Yoopers will try to say that they have the best deposit law with the $.10 return but I only hear that those redemptions can be paid by grocers and their limits aren't as high as scrap yards. I just read that a scrap yard somewhere in michigan will only give you about $.50 per pound for aluminum cans. If any of you Michiganites want to respond and prove me wrong, please do. But, to answer your question, of the states you listed, california has the best return rate.
